At Johnson Controls Inc. (Albany Plant), we build custom high quality, commercial air handlers from sheet metal. We are hiring for Class 2 Fabricators on our 2nd shift team!  

What You Will Do 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Ensure hardware and components match Bill of Materials (BOM)

• Install components securely and ensure proper fit and alignment according to the Spec Sheet. 

• Prepare product to be painted and shipped

• Install hardware and custom parts into assembly per specification for HVAC Units 

• Identify proper parts to compete assemblies by reading specification sheet and blueprints 

• Utilize rivet gun, air gun, knife, welding and other hand tools to perform duties 

• Operate bridge crane or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area 

• Perform preventative maintenance and makes minor machine repairs as needed 

• Responsible for adhering to a production schedule, ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured and ensuring that safety standards are always met 

Job Requirements 

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and build plans preferred 

• Previous experience in an industrial setting a plus!
