What you will do: 

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Greenville, WI. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below. 

 

How you will do it: 

  • Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.

  • Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.

  • Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation.

  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

  • Loads system-level controller software. Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc) and completes all required commissioning documentation.

  • Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.

  • Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems 

Duration: This will be a full-time summer 2026 internship. 

What we look for 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university

  • Pursuing a degree in engineering or HVAC or other technical degree 

  • Currently a sophomore or higher status 

  • Knowledgeable in the use of personal computers and the appropriate applications, including Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and PowerPoint. 

  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship 

  • Have strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team  

  • Energetic and driven attitude – you do what it takes to get the task completed  

  • Good organizational and problem solving skills  

  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.  

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently. 

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred 

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills required

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $20.00 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
