Overview
The Contract Analyst will perform administration of ship construction contracts and major ship construction/engineering subcontracts. The position requires the ability to work independently while in close coordination with Electric Boat’s: Program Offices, Estimating, Purchasing, Finance, and Legal Departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review Request for Proposals (RFPs), Statement of Work (SOW), and Terms and Conditions.
- Prepare and organize contractual documentation in support of contract changes and proposals, negotiations, and certifications related to cost or pricing data.
- Develop proposal assumptions, conditions and revisions to contract language.
- Prepare well-written documents that detail disclosures and negotiation.
- Maintain compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other regulatory requirements.
- Identifying flow-down clauses and administering major subcontracts.
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure contract actions are understood and completed.
- Business travel to Electric Boat’s prime contract customers or subcontractors may be required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in government contracting, subcontracts/ buyer, financial/business analyst
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and must either hold a current US DoD Secret clearance or must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred:
- Experience negotiating with the government or sub-contractors/suppliers
- Working knowledge/experience with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regulatory requirements

- Strong financial analysis and problem solving skills
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during contract lifecycle
- Ability to effectively prioritize competing work assignments / projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
