Located in the Phoenix, Ariz., suburb of Chandler, the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429-bed, not-for-profit hospital with more than 2,600 team members and almost 1,000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Chandler Regional joined the Dignity Health system in 1999, but has been part of the community for more than 50 years. The hospital includes a Level I Trauma Center, a Heart and Vascular Center, a Wound Healing Center, a Family Birth Center and many additional services. Dignity Health Chandler Regional, Mercy Gilbert, and Arizona General Hospital Mesa awarded $422,000 in grants to support five community projects led by 15 local organizations. Since 1991, Dignity Health's Community Health Improvement Grants program has provided $91 million to nearly 3,800 health projects, focusing on vulnerable and underserved populations.
Registered Respiratory Therapist performs all ranges of respiratory care including cardiac and medical critical care, advanced modes of ventilator care as well as non-invasive ventilation on adults, pediatrics and neonates, emergency respiratory care, blood gas analysis, EKGs. Specialty experience required in at least two areas such as charge therapist, stress testing, pulmonary function testing, arterial line insertion & maintenance, transcutaneous monitoring or neonatal intensive care. Maintains and oversees the functioning of the blood gas lab and regulatory requirement by CAP, JCAHO and state agencies. Serve as a team lead to other respiratory therapists.
Minimum:
Strong Critical care experience in CVICU, ICU, and Nursery
Minimum of (3) years experience within all facets of acute and respiratory care including arterial line inserion/maintenance
Graduate of an AMA approved school for Respiratory Therapy
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
AZ State RCP License
Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
Basic computer knowledge. Able to communicate clearly and tactfully
Preferred:
Preferred knowledge of arterial blood gas testing, pulmonary function, EKGs and NICU.
