Opelika Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian who thrives in a busy, community-focused setting. Whether you’re an experienced DVM or a new graduate, we’d love to meet you! Our hospital has been a trusted part of the Opelika and Auburn communities for over 45 years. We’re a fast-paced, walk-in small animal clinic known for our friendly, family-like atmosphere and dedication to quality care. We offer everything from wellness exams to specialized surgeries enabling our clients and their pets to develop a lifelong relationship with our doctors by offering that small town family clinic appeal with all the medical care of larger hospitals.  

 

 

Schedule and Work-Life Balance 

  • Supportive environment for both experienced DVMs and new graduates 
  • Mentorship through longer appointments, hands-on surgical training, and shadowing 
  • Flexible schedule: 4–4.5 days/week (10-hour shifts) 
  • No after-hours or on-call duties 
  • We maintain a 1:1 doctor-to-technician ratio 

 

 

Our Facility & Equipment 

  • Stand-alone hospital with 3 exam rooms, 2 surgery suites, and a boarding area 
  • Equipped with digital X-ray, and we’re adding a new dental machine soon 
  • 100% small animal practice, seeing an average of 40-50+ patients per day
