Responsibilities

Located on the Community Regional campus, Burnett Extended Care Center is our brand-new 154-bed transitional care facility opening this summer. Purpose-built to serve patients transitioning from hospital to home, Burnett includes specialized units that focus on quality, comfort, and continuity of care. 

• Process, fold, inspect, and distribute washable linens, garments, and specialty items in alignment with safety and hygiene standards. 

• Operate commercial laundry equipment and follow established protocols for washing a variety of materials. 

• Maintain organization of clean and soiled laundry storage areas to ensure workflow efficiency and cleanliness.

Qualifications

Education & Experience 

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate upon hire or transfer into position required or 

• General Education Development (GED) obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer into position required 

• Failure to obtain the GED within 1 year will result in termination of employment 

• 3 months of previous Environmental Services required or 

• Must be comfortable working in extreme heat and standing for long periods of time required 

• Comfortable with strong odors required
