Overview

Functions as a member of patient care team. Responsible for duties related to the clerical/operational functions of the nursing unit. Functions as a member of patient care team under the supervision and direction of a licensed nurse in providing competent care to patients, according to their individual needs. Performs basic patient care directed at the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients.

Qualifications

  • Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current CPR certification. CNA certification preferred
  • Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience:
  • Preferably, a minimum of one-year acute care hospital experience.

    • Special Qualifications:

  • Nursing assistant competency
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Medical terminology and transcription skills.
  • Filing skills.
  • Clear, legible penmanship.
  • Computer knowledgeable.
