Responsibilities
The National Director - Executive Benefits coordinates and oversees the national efforts to drive IDI GSI/GI solutions to new and existing SMB customers. Develops and significantly increases IDI GSI & GI term through our Workplace benefits teams and across Benefits & Protection creating new points of intersection and protection solutions for our SMB customer base. Provides expertise on IDI GSI & GI term to brokers through active partnership and consultation with group sales reps. Motivates customers to increase group and individual disability combo activity and sales. Lead the team of Regional Directors - Executive Benefits, implementing national standards and procedures that ensure the effectiveness of the Executive Benefits distribution channel.
- Oversee the national partnership with Group Benefits team to help drive GSI/GI solutions to new and existing SMB customers. Meet IDI GSI & GI sales goals established nationally and for assigned territory. Achieve an acceptable level of group and individual disability combo sales from new and experienced group brokers each year. Maintain a high level of individual disability income persistency for clients.
- Cultivate and develop new broker relationships nationally and within assigned territory. Support existing broker relationships and increase individual disability and combo business from experienced and inexperienced brokers through recruiting, promotion, seminars, field training, and consistent high quality of service.
- Work jointly with group sales reps to identify opportunities for individual disability and group combo sales through group brokers. Educate group reps on propensity to buy criteria to select target brokers to increase individual disability sales.
- Formulate marketing business plans to increase IDI pipeline and sales, individual and group combo plans. Deploy in field office to increase and drive awareness of IDI opportunities; serve as the key subject matter expert in IDI and group combo sales opportunities to close the sale.
- Provide education and training to field sales force through on site visits to brokerage offices. Actively participate in meetings with the field to educate and recruit intermediaries with respect to IDI market opportunity.
- Partner closely with home office partners - new business, underwriting, and product to ensure close alignment with overall strategy and processes.

Qualifications
- Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 4+ years related experience including as Regional Director - Executive Benefits
- Must have high drive to succeed, demonstrate initiative and a broad knowledge of disability sales concepts, and the need in personal and business markets as well as regulations governing disability insurance sales
- Must have previous informal or formal team management experience or direct accountability to a national sales goal
- Excellent oral and written communication and leadership skills are needed
- Ability to train and motivate producers to sell disability insurance is required
- State insurance license is required
- Travel is required
Salary Range Information
This position offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary combined with incentive earnings. The base salary will provide financial stability, while the incentive component offers additional earning potential based on performance metrics.
Salary Range
$90000 - $90000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
