We are seeking an Associate Counsel, Legal for a 6 month maternity cover. The successful candidate will be resourceful, practical, collaborative and have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills. They must be able to work effectively across the business and under pressure, with a willingness to learn, navigate ambiguity and advise others in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Minimum requirements:

• Law degree (LLB, JD or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant legal experience with exposure to a range of commercial contracts and other agreements across various business lines

• Qualified to practice law in Singapore and/or US

• Excellent English communication, drafting and negotiation skills

• Self-motivated, independently, and willing to pitch in, be challenged and think creatively

• Comfortable advising and working with international teams, and across functions and levels.

• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify key issues, assess legal risk and communicate advice clearly so the business can make informed commercial decisions

• Ability to balance legal risk, regulatory compliance and business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior in-house experience at an international media, technology or internet company

• Experience in content acquisition/distribution, OTT, intellectual property, technology licensing, consumer-related compliance and/or regulatory regimes, including privacy

• A commercially astute and able to operate as a practical business-partner

• Strong project and people management skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across team
