We are seeking an Associate Counsel, Legal for a 6 month maternity cover. The successful candidate will be resourceful, practical, collaborative and have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication skills. They must be able to work effectively across the business and under pressure, with a willingness to learn, navigate ambiguity and advise others in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Minimum requirements:
Law degree (LLB, JD or equivalent)
Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant legal experience with exposure to a range of commercial contracts and other agreements across various business lines
Qualified to practice law in Singapore and/or US
Excellent English communication, drafting and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, independently, and willing to pitch in, be challenged and think creatively
Comfortable advising and working with international teams, and across functions and levels.
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify key issues, assess legal risk and communicate advice clearly so the business can make informed commercial decisions
Ability to balance legal risk, regulatory compliance and business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior in-house experience at an international media, technology or internet company
Experience in content acquisition/distribution, OTT, intellectual property, technology licensing, consumer-related compliance and/or regulatory regimes, including privacy
A commercially astute and able to operate as a practical business-partner
Strong project and people management skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across team
