As our Data Intern, you will support the Data team in managing and analyzing data to improve operational efficiency and decision-making by assisting with data cleaning, integration, visualization, and reporting, while gaining hands-on experience with data tools and workflows in a professional environment. This internship offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with IT professionals, analysts, and cross-functional teams to contribute to impactful data initiatives. 

What you'll do

  • Technical Proficiency: Support data integration, database management, and dashboard development using tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI, while applying programming and secure coding practices.
  • Analytical Thinking: Analyze data to identify trends, answer research questions, and support IT decision-making with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with IT and business teams to document findings, present insights, and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Project Support & Organization: Coordinate data-related tasks, maintain accurate records, and assist with reporting and project milestones.
  • Learning & Development: Gain hands-on experience with enterprise data systems, receive mentorship, and engage in continuous learning and feedback.

What you bring to the team

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.  
  • No prior experience required; coursework or projects in data analytics preferred.  
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).  
  • Basic understanding of data visualization and relational databases is also beneficial 

Essential Functions

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted. 
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, with occasional walking and standing as needed. 
  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computers, printers, copiers).

Work Environment

  • Corporate office environment with a business casual dress code; occasional business professional attire may be required. 
  • Occasional visits to jobsites, requiring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and exposure to outdoor elements and typical construction site conditions. 
  • Standard work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 
  • Work schedule will align with project demands and timelines.
