The Box Office Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests visiting the Woodruff Arts Center and its Arts Partners while maintaining the Atlanta Symphony Hall Box Office for Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE and classical performances. This position ensures that all ticketing, patron communication, and night-of-show support are handled efficiently, accurately, and with professionalism.

WORK SCHEDULE

Hours will vary based on the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE performance schedule. The position primarily requires evening, weekend and holiday availability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first-rate customer service to patrons, employees, and all visitors to the Woodruff Arts Center campus while staffing the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Box Office.
  • Offer accurate event information, including pricing, seating, event details, accessibility options, and ASHL and ASO program information. 
  • Process in-person ticket sales using Ticketmaster / Archtics
  • Assist with ticket exchanges, upgrades, ADA seating requests and general ticket troubleshooting.
  • Maintain clear and accurate patron communications regarding pricing, seat availability and seating locations.
  • Pull, prepare and distribute artist, agent and promoter comps using approved lists.
  • Manage will call pickup.
  • Resolve patron issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Support Event Managers and front-of-house staff on ticket-related entry issues.
  • Run nightly box office reports as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a box office or customer service role
  • Ticketmaster / Archtics experience preferred
  • Experience in an arts, entertainment or live events environment strongly preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Ticketmaster
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
