We are planning to construct a local manufacturing plant for Aquarius film coatings in India . We wanted to build a strong opportunity pipeline for Aquarius by that time plant is up and running.

  • Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager – Film coating Applications to join our APAC Pharmaceuticals Sales Team.

  • This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Sales function. This position will report to APAC BD Director, Life Sciences.

  • Ashland has a comprehensive line of products for IR & MR film coatings.  This film coatings market space is growing rapidly, and we want a salesperson to drive Ashland’s commercial growth and market leadership in this space.

  • The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assuming account responsibility for the ready-mix film coatings portion of Pharmaceutical accounts in the territory.  These accounts and target accounts include Branded Pharma, Generic Pharma and CDMO companies in this space.

  • Promoting and selling the Ashland range of Aquarius ready mix coatings for IR & MR applications to Formulation Development contacts.

  • Capability to promote and sell any future Aquarius Product Line extensions

  • Prospecting / hunting for new business opportunities including identifying and converting share shift opportunities in the film coatings space

  • Attending trade shows and conferences

  • Possibly conducting customer webinars on Aquarius product line in the film coatings space

  • Away travel between 30% to 40%

  • Developing a robust opportunity pipeline

  • Maintaining all records within SalesForce.com

  • In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Preferably B. Pharm or M. Pharm and MBA is an added advantage

  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience and successful technical selling experience in ready mix film coatings.

Already established with a network of industry contacts Strong oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to prospect and network at the accounts to establish new growth opportunities.

  • The ability to relate to all levels in an organization.

  • Experience in Key Account Management.

Additional Job Description
