Corteva AgriscienceTM is seeking students for full-time internships within our research and development organization in Johnston, Iowa. We offer students the opportunity to work closely with a senior scientist in an industrial setting, and the students will have extensive opportunities to network across the company. It is desirable that students have past practical experience in a research environment generating data and have relevant computer skills. Students are encouraged to be creative and take initiative, where appropriate, while working with their supervisor. Students are expected to always operate in a safe and efficient manner. Essential to this internship are interpersonal, organizational, communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Ecotoxicology
Student will participate in a project with our Ecotoxicology and Safety Assessment (ESAL) team assessing the environmental safety of proteins expressed in biotechnology products for submission to regulatory agencies around the world.
Protein Biochemistry
Students will participate in a project with our Protein Sciences team assessing the safety of proteins expressed in biotechnology products for submission to regulatory agencies around the world.
Allergenicity bioinformatics
Students will participate in a project with our Protein Safety Assessment Team (PSAT) assessing the allergenicity of proteins newly expressed in biotechnology products for submission to regulatory agencies around the world. Overall, students will have basic learning experiences on:
Assessment and contextualization of the allergenic risk of proteins using a weight-of-evidence approach, integrating sequence/structure analyses, bioinformatics, exposure context, and regulatory guidance.
