Overview

Kings Island is seeking a motivated Water Quality Technician to support daily water testing and treatment operations across the park and Soak City Waterpark. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance of our aquatic systems, ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily water sampling, testing, and analysis for pools, attractions, and water systems.

• Record, track, and report water quality results to the Foreperson of Water Quality.

• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and chemical dosing systems.

• Assist with the adjustment of water chemistry to meet state and federal compliance standards.

• Support the investigation and resolution of water quality issues.

• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections and audits.

• Ensure adherence to EPA, state, and local water quality regulations.

• Collaborate with Aquatics, Maintenance, and Safety teams on system upkeep and improvement.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certification in water treatment, chemistry, or environmental science preferred.

• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

• Basic understanding of water systems, treatment processes, and testing protocols.

• Ability to use standard water testing instruments and mechanical tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
