Overview

A family in New York City is seeking a professional, long-term, full-time housekeeper to join their home. This position is live-out in NYC and live-in during the summer months in the Hamptons. The ideal candidate will be polished, experienced, and comfortable maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization within a busy household. During the summer, the housekeeper will be provided a separate house with a private room for accommodations. The schedule will be Thursday through Monday, totaling 40 hours per week. All days end at 8pm, with start times varying by day:

Thursday: 3pm–8pmFriday: 2pm–8pmSaturday: 10am–8pmSunday: 10am–8pmMonday: 11am–8pmTuesdays and Wednesdays off.

Responsibilities

• Full-charge housekeeping for the home

• Formal, hotel-quality laundry, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care

• Daily tidying and household organization

• Maintaining existing systems and standards

• Bed-making and luxury linen management

• Deep cleaning on a rotational schedule

• Care for delicate materials, high-end furnishings, and specialty surfaces

• Occasional pet care for a small dog

• Collaborating with the existing weekday housekeeper

• Traveling to the Hamptons during the summer and residing on the property

Qualifications

• Significant experience in private homes

• Strong skillset in formal laundry and wardrobe care

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to maintain a polished and orderly environment

• Discreet, respectful, and able to navigate a busy household

• Team-oriented and proactive

• Comfortable with pets

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a housekeeper in private homes

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and navigate stairs

• Experience caring for luxury furnishings, linens, and garments

• U.S. work authorization

• Availability to live-in during summer months

Salary and Benefits

• $35/hr
