Overview

 

Our dynamic team is seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and professional individual to provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers. This candidate will be responsible for answering the phones and responding to customers’ complaints. Providing basic insurance information to our internal and external customers via email/phone. Reviewing and distributing daily correspondence.

 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing pending authorizations report and initiating authorizations into the proprietary system
  • Checking benefits and eligibility
  • Ensuring that all necessary documentation is scanned into the proprietary system
  • Insurance verification
  • Support to the clinics for any insurance related questions, including benefit interpretation
  • Outreach to patients and providers to obtain missing information, deductible payments, etc.
  • Maintaining phone queue metrics and email communication

 

May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience with benefit verifications and insurance eligibility checks
  • 2+ experience working in Medical Office or Hospital setting
  • Basic medical coding knowledge, insurance guidelines and HIPAA
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to multi-task and manage large number of requests within assigned time
  • Has a good understanding of basic computer skills and the ability to learn how to use proprietary software quickly.
  • Exhibits self-motivation, the ability to multitask and pay close attention to small details.
  • Can think logically to provide answers to customer questions as well as resolutions for various issues that may arise.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to build relationship with our internal and external clients
  • Spanish speaking preferred

    The pay range for this position is expected to be between $22.59 to $24.00 per hour; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
