Overview
Provide clerical support for the counseling staff and program manager of the Substance Abuse programs.
This is a 3rd shift position and pays $16.00/hr.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone and assist callers as needed, complete client “initial screening sheet” and file for future use and review.
- If applicable, assist the night nurse with client care – ie alert clients when needed by the nurse for vital checks and medications.
- Prepare client meal list daily, issue client meal tickets, secure meals for clients confined to the Detox floor. Ready clients for breakfast, escort to dining room, if needed.
- Complete daily “team leader” report, fine in Manager’s mailbox.
- Coordinate cleanliness of client rooms, bathrooms, day room and common areas on the Detox floor.
- Complete laundry and clothes washing as needed.
- Complete filing of client records – yellow and white cards on top of the filing cabinet
- Other duties as designated by the ADAS manager and/or Executive Director
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance.
- Read and write legibly. Good communication skills.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or in process of obtaining.
- Effective in dealing with the public and/or dealing with intoxicated individuals
