Overview
Responsibilities: The Bar Porter is responsible for the area relative to supplies, equipment and the removal of empty or soiled articles. Creates a high standard of cleanliness to bar, according to established policies, so guests enjoy a safe and memorable experience.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a bar porter and/or bar back in a casino, high-volume nightclub or high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Must have knowledge of beverages, glassware, and garnishes
Additional Requirements:
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must have a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work independently and willingness to learn.
- Must be able to work at a rapid pace, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Able to handle stress arising from management of operations and volume of work.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
- Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required.
- Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift & work inside assigned bar areas in the venue
- Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
Work Environment:
- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, and loud/noisy environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties: - Cleans bar area, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, refrigerators, coolers and other bar appliances in accordance with Hard Rock policies. - Ensures bar is set properly. - Ensures all soda gun products, fruit garnishes, and mixes meets service standards. - Stocks assigned bar with product and supplies throughout the shift - Prepares all mixes and garnishes - Acknowledges, greets and converses with customers who approach the bar - Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
