Overview

A lovely family of four in Brooklyn is seeking a temporary full-time nanny to assist with their two children, ages 1 and 6, starting November 24 through June 15. The family is relocating to NYC from overseas, so they would love to find a fantastic local nanny who is familiar with the area and can help the children get settled and into a great routine. If the temporary period goes well, the family may continue to need full-time care in September 2026. The schedule for this role is flexible and open for discussion, but the potential schedule could be Monday through Thursday, 8am-8pm. 

Responsibilities

• Childcare for two children, ages 1 and 6
• Accompanying the older child to and from school, playdates, and activities 
• Planning developmentally appropriate activities and outings
• Child related tidying and laundry 
• Cooking very basic child-friendly food for the family 

Qualifications

• Fun, creative, and playful with children 
• Able and willing to work with involved parents and grandparents 
• Laid back- the family is strict on safety, but otherwise relaxed 
• Collaborative approach 
• Experience working with young toddlers and school-aged children

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Experienced and comfortable getting around NYC with children 
• Swimming is required for this role 
• Experience with childhood food allergies 
• Comfortable not being paid for the dates of December 20-28 when the family is traveling 

Salary and Benefits

• $30/hr. plus overtime
