Job Summary:Supervise and assist in the coordination of the Park’s overall safety culture by ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal standards along with policies and procedures established by Six Flags Magic Mountain. Supervise team members within the Public Safety Division including Loss Prevention and Security but with an emphasis on the First Aid & Safety Departments.
Job Duties:• Respond to calls for service and provide supervision in Public Safety affairs. • Cover Public Safety Shift Supervisor positions. • Strive to provide a safe and secure environment for all guests and team members. • Ensure Public Safety policies and procedures are maintained and enforced throughout the Park. • Conduct trainings pertaining to Public Safety courses and update materials as needed. • Be knowledgeable with laws and regulations pertaining to First Aid, Security, Safety and Loss Prevention. • Routinely engage patrons following the Six Flags Mantra: Friendly, Clean, Fast, Safe Service. • Generate accurate reports to ensure compliance of regulations and policies. • Conduct audits, interviews, investigations and root cause analysis. • Provide mentorship and support to all team members. • Knowledgeable in Cal-OSHA, EPA, NFPA, California Penal Code, etc., policies, procedures and compliance. • Maintain readiness and cleanliness of emergency response equipment and vehicles. • Maintain absolute confidentiality with proprietary, business and personal information. • Work cohesively with others within the Public Safety Division and other departments.• Provide excellent customer service and routinely interact with guests and other team members. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:• Must be at least 18 years of age.• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License in good standing. • Must have previous leadership experience in a theme park setting • Must be able to respond, adapt and participate in emergency situations and events. • Must have strong self-motivation, work ethic and a positive attitude and outlook. • Must be able to stand, walk, observe and patrol for extended periods of time. • Must be able to work in direct sunlight, outdoors, in the heat and other environmental elements. • Ability to perform installations and inspections that require climbing ladders and into confined spaces. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with sound problem-solving abilities in high stress situations. • Possess strong budgeting, planning, organization, leadership, mentoring and administrative skills. • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
