Join the executive leadership team at Xanterra in Yellowstone National Park as the Assistant Director of Guest Services, Lodging. This role is responsible for overseeing systems management, campground, and front office field support within the lodging department. In line with the department’s mission of delivering legendary service, the ADSS ensures that seasonal managers have access to efficient, intuitive systems and are thoroughly equipped by the lodging support office to excel in both operational processes and guest service. This role requires a proactive approach, with a focus on continually enhancing both the tools we use, and the support provided.

Must Have:
- Must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license, and clean driving record
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in hotel operations management

Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of technology and operational systems supporting campground and front office lodging operations, including Opera PMS/ORS, EZRMS, Kronos/Dayforce, and related software.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Lodging Support Office team, including the Manager of Front Office Operations and Lead PBX Concierge, fostering growth, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of PBX Concierge staff to ensure exceptional internal and external guest service.
- Manage and update lodging systems manuals, training content, and operational checklists; partner with Learning & Development to ensure consistent, high-quality training delivery.
- Monitor and enhance key operational pillars—guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and departmental revenue—through data-driven performance management.
- Administer inventory and purchasing functions for the Lodging department, ensuring accurate expense coding, proactive supply management, and compliance with financial procedures.
- Oversee lodging timekeeping and payroll accuracy using Kronos/Dayforce; train and support field managers in resolving discrepancies and maintaining compliance.
- Manage lodging and campground inventory systems within Opera PMS and Expedia Partner Central, ensuring alignment with revenue management and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Provide field and technical support for system issues, accounting discrepancies, and IT coordination, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all lodging systems.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally on special projects, system improvements, and leadership initiatives while staying current on hospitality technology trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license, and clean driving record and the ability to safely operate vehicles of all sizes and capabilities
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in hotel operations management
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
- Expertise in current Xanterra computer systems, including Opera, Cloudsuite, and Kronos
- Expertise in managing, creating, and receiving purchasing orders
- High emotional intelligence – the ability to create and maintain strong working relationships
- Strong written communication skills
- Highly organized
- Experience with and mastery of complex lodging related computer programs
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite
Physical Requirements include:
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds as needed throughout the day; lifting and carrying of supplies sporadically throughout the day
- Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching as needed
- Standing for long periods, frequent walking up and down stairs, as well as in outdoor areas sporadically throughout the day
- Speaking clearly in front of large audiences for several hours
- Sitting and typing at a computer for extended periods
