For Everyone. Bancroft is currently seeking a Registered Nurse  to work in our Gloucester Adults Program

 

Position Summary: In accordance with standard nursing practices, provides professional nursing services as a Registered Nurse (RN) to persons served by the Bancroft organization.

Responsibilities

ssential Responsibilities:

1. Under the clinical direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), provides nursing care to persons served, operating within personal license constraints and in strict accordance with regulations and guidelines defined by the Nurse Practices Act, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), N.J. Department of Health, , N.J. Department of Education Administrative Code and Amendments, Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) Division of Youth Services (DYFS) where applicable, the Individual Program Plan (IPP), Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), and established Bancroft policies and procedures:

  • In accordance with established procedures, reviews and accurately transcribes physician orders for documentation into the medical record of each person served.
  • Obtains detailed health histories and conducts health screenings and physical assessments of persons served; e.g., vital signs, height, weight, pain assessments, nutritional needs, abuse and neglect screening, etc., to determine a baseline health status and to identify and document the current and changing healthcare needs of each person served.  Reports findings to RN for subsequent review by physician.
  • Based on program needs, performs on-site visits of program sites to ensure the health, safety, security, and overall quality of care for persons served.  Identifies existing and potential issues of concern and takes appropriate action to address, resolve, and avoid reoccurrence of issues.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

  • Registered Nurse from an accredited School of Nursing with a current and valid N.J. license required.  Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.  Prior nursing experience working with the developmentally disabled and/or the traumatically brain injured preferred.

 

The current hiring range for this position: $36.57-$46.96 per hour.
