Overview

A kind and welcoming family of five in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a full-time housekeeper to help maintain their 10,000 sq. ft. home in excellent condition. They are open to a candidate who needs to live-in or wants to live-out. The family values warmth, consistency, and professionalism, and hopes to find someone who takes pride in creating a clean, well-organized, and peaceful environment. The family has young children and separate childcare, so this role focuses entirely on the home. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday (no weekends), approximately 40 hours per week (the exact hours are TBD). They are flexible but would love someone to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping:

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living spaces
• Deep cleaning on a rotating basis
• Laundry, ironing, and organization of clothing and linens
• Maintaining organization throughout drawers, closets, and storage areas
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen surfaces and appliances
• Keeping household areas tidy and organized - always finding ways to stay productive
• Care for a home with some antiques, but overall, a warm, family environment that’s not overly formal
• Cooking is a plus, but not required

Household Support: 

• Manage household supplies and restock when needed
• Accept and organize deliveries
• Communicate with vendors or contractors as directed
• Light errands if needed (driving not required)
• Maintain discretion and professionalism around the family’s schedule and home routines

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional housekeeping experience in a private home

• Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and time management

• Able to work independently and take initiative

• Calm, kind, and respectful demeanor

• Fluent in English

• Discreet and professional; maintains family privacy

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits

• $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience
