The Manager of Talent Acquisition leads the strategic recruitment and hiring efforts across Phoebe Putney Health
System to ensure the organization attracts and retains top-quality talent in alignment with the system's mission,
vision, and values. This role manages a team of recruiters and collaborates closely with HR Business Partners
and operational leaders to develop effective workforce strategies that support clinical excellence, community
health, and organizational growth.
Essential Functions
• Direct the full-cycle recruitment process for all system entities, including hospitals, clinics, and support services.
• Lead, coach, and develop the talent acquisition team to achieve performance goals and maintain a culture of service excellence.
• Partner with department leaders to forecast hiring needs and develop proactive recruitment plans that address critical talent gaps.
• Oversee employer branding, candidate engagement, and onboarding coordination to ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience.
• Implement sourcing strategies to attract diverse and high-performing candidates, leveraging technology and community partnerships.
• Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, quality-of-hire, turnover trends) to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with HR leadership on workforce planning, retention, and succession strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and system-level employment laws, policies, and procedures.
• Represent Phoebe Putney Health System at career events, job fairs, and community outreach programs to strengthen the employer brand.
Additional Duties
• Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
• Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
• Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
• Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Required)
Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Preferred)
5 years of experience in talent acquisition, including experience managing recruitment teams and developing strategic hiring initiatives, and at least two (2) years in a healthcare environment. (Required)
