The opportunity 

We’re looking for a Claims Officer to join our Accident & Health team on a 6month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll manage claims end to end and play an important part in delivering fair, timely, and customer-focused outcomes. You’ll work closely with a range of stakeholders while supporting customers through what can be a challenging time. 

 

Your new role 

  • Manage Accident & Health claims from initial notification through to resolution 

  • Assess policy coverage and gather relevant information to support claim decisions 

  • Liaise with brokers, medical professionals and external assessors 

  • Support customers throughout their recovery journey, including return to work and wellbeing outcomes 

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service through phone and email communication 

  • Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail 

 

About you 

  • Strong customer service experience, ideally in a phone‑based environment 

  • Clear and confident communication skills across phone and email 

  • An empathetic and professional approach when dealing with sensitive situations 

  • The ability to build rapport and manage a range of customer expectations 

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities 

  • Experience in a corporate or professional services environment (insurance experience not essential)
