Job Summary

  • Reading Hospital Foundation is seeking a dynamic and passionate Major Gift Officer to join our team.
  • This newly created, exciting position will play a critical role in securing significant financial contributions to support our mission of enhancing healthcare in our community.
  • The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing, implementing, managing, and maintaining successful long-term relationships with donors and organizations to expand our capacity and impact.
  • The Major Gift Officer will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors.
  • Working closely with the Foundation leadership, the Board, and internal teams, the Major Gift Officer will develop and execute strategies for solicitation that will grow annual revenue from individuals, corporations, foundations, and community groups.
  • They will strategically strengthen and build a pipeline of major gift prospects through targeted outreach, ensuring that donors are retained and upgraded in their giving and involvement.

*Fundraising experience required, health system/hospital experience preferred

Education Requirements

  • 4 year Bachelor's Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.

Experience
