Who We Are

We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open

Why Work for the USTA?

We are a passionate team of staff and volunteers focused on growing the sport of tennis and making it accessible to all.  We are committed to removing barriers and creating opportunities for ALL to participate. Don’t know tennis? Don't worry, you can still find yourself in the game!

The Role

The National Manager, Strategic Growth will provide thought leadership in shaping the USTA Foundation’s overall program growth strategy and lead the tactical development and execution necessary to achieve its goals, objectives, and key results.

This role will focus on expanding the reach and impact of the Foundation through five primary avenues:

  • Recruiting new, qualified youth development organizations into the Foundation’s National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) Network.
  • Identifying and cultivating new, under-resourced markets with young people who can benefit from the powerful combination of tennis, education, and mentorship.
  • Executing and managing the Community Impact Hubs (CIH) initiative, an ambitious multi-year effort built on four foundational pillars and serving as a cornerstone of the Foundation’s strategic vision. The National Manager will oversee the program’s implementation, performance metrics, and overall success, ensuring alignment with both CIH-specific indicators and broader USTAF impact measures.
  • Ensuring NJTL chapters have access to essential brand and operational resources, including playbooks, toolkits, and co-branding assets developed in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy and Operations, and USTA Marketing shared services. These tools will strengthen local impact and deepen the network’s connection to the Foundation’s brand.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Programs and Social Impact and Development colleagues to ensure restricted funding opportunities are strategically aligned with program needs and priorities.

Ultimately, this position will serve as a key driver in advancing the USTA Foundation’s strategic program growth objectives—strengthening its national presence, deepening network alignment, and ensuring the continued expansion of its impact. Through this work, the National Manager will help NJTL chapters more deeply identify with and advance the Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of young people from under-resourced communities through tennis, education, and mentorship.
