Yellowstone Retail is looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate employees to provide unforgettable guest service to our visitors in our retail shops. We operate and maintain eleven retail outlets throughout the park. We don't sell souvenirs, we sell memories!
Job Summary:
This role involves creating a positive and efficient work environment for Distribution Center (DC) staff through training, team-building, and regular feedback. Key responsibilities include overseeing DC operations such as document management, product reception, inventory reconciliation, and scheduling deliveries, while ensuring compliance with environmental standards and safety protocols. The position also requires collaboration with various departments to manage inventory, support retail operations, and assist with special projects, particularly during the winter season.

Responsibilities
- Foster a supportive atmosphere for all Distribution Center (DC) staff, prioritizing accuracy and efficiency through training, team-building, and regular feedback
- Manage all aspects of DC operations, including creating and maintaining receiving and allocation documents, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely vendor payments in collaboration with the General Accounting Office (GAO)
- Maintain the integrity of retail inventory through periodic audits, manage product replenishment with buyers, and oversee physical inventories and store transfers at season's end
- Ensure accurate product reception and tagging in the point of sales (POS) system, schedule deliveries to retail stores, and supervise the timely disposition of return-to-vendor merchandise
- Assist retail locations with stock room organization, problem-solving inventory issues, and provide support as needed to enhance store operations
- Uphold safety standards within the DC by maintaining orderly work areas and ensuring equipment is safe to use; actively participate in the park-wide safety committee
- Comply with Xanterra’s Environmental Management Systems (Ecologix) and seek opportunities to minimize environmental impact
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record
- Has a thorough understanding of retail Raymark point of sale system
- Has a thorough understanding of Distribution Center operation and is able to provide guidance to staff on all aspects of the operation
- Must be able to foster cooperation among a diverse workforce. Work well with all staff members
- Ability to take direction and work cooperatively with other co-workers, as well as other departments within Xanterra Parks & Resorts
- Minimum amount of supervision needed; excellent attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
- Minimal cross-country ski knowledge is preferred
- Able to safely operate forklift and train others
Physical Requirements include:
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Able to stand/walk for a minimum eight-hour shift
- Frequently lift and move cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend down or kneel to stock product frequently during a shift
