The Role
VEIR is seeking a Principal Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our expanding Instrumentation & Controls team. This group leads the design, implementation, and optimization of the control architectures, instrumentation, and automation that support VEIR’s cryogenic infrastructure and superconducting cable systems.
As a Principal Instrumentation & Controls Engineer at VEIR, you will serve as one of the technical leaders responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing the control systems that power our cryogenic infrastructure and superconducting cable technology. You will own complex system-level design decisions, guide the development of advanced instrumentation and automation capabilities, and ensure our cryogenic processes operate with precision, reliability, and safety. In this role, you will shape VEIR’s control strategies across multiple product platforms, lead integration efforts with internal teams and external partners, and play a critical role in enabling the performance, scalability, and commercialization of VEIR’s technology.
VEIR is committed to equal pay for equal work in its compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $170,000 - $195,000 per year + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
