Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Position: Full-Time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $180,000 – $210,000 per year

Job Summary
We are hiring an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to support a busy outpatient clinic in Los Angeles. In this role, you will see walk-in and same-day patients, perform focused assessments, make timely treatment decisions, and help keep patient flow moving smoothly throughout the day. This is a weekday position with consistent hours and a strong clinical support team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused assessments for urgent care patients across the lifespan
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs, X-rays, and EKGs
• Diagnose and manage common acute conditions such as minor injuries, infections, respiratory issues, and GI complaints
• Perform basic procedures (e.g., suturing, I&D, splinting, wound care) within scope
• Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Document all encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the EMR
• Provide clear discharge instructions, follow-up plans, and patient education

• Master’s or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
• Current NP license in the state of California
• National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or equivalent)
• Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain
• At least 1–2 years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a similar fast-paced setting strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Comfortable working independently within a collaborative team model
