Freycinet Lodge is an eco-lodge that sits within the world famous Freycinet National Park – a stone’s throw from the renowned Wineglass Bay on the picturesque East Coast of Tasmania. The Lodge consists of 70 rooms and a main lodge, thoughtfully constructed around a beautiful waterfront below The Hazards mountain range. Located approximately 2.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Freycinet Lodge neighbours the popular holiday town of Coles Bay.

What you’ll do:

We are seeking a hands-on, dynamic and experienced Housekeeping Manager to champion our culture of service excellence in this full-time, permanent role. As part of our head-of-department team, you’ll collaborate closely with other managers to ensure the overall success of the property. Drawing on your leadership experience, you’ll coach and mentor the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining efficient, cost-effective operations.. On a daily basis you will:

  • Manage and mentor your Housekeeping Team to maintain a high standard of service.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to meet and exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient running of the daily housekeeping operations.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3-5 years' experience in the tourism/hospitality industry
  • Extensive hands-on experience in housekeeping operations
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to build a highly engaged team
  • A reputation for excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and an eye for detail
  • Experience in setting and delivering on your budget by managing costs
  • Previous experience managing recruitment, rostering and payroll
  • Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with common office applications.
  • Ability to achieve outcomes with minimal direct supervision
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systems
  • Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
