Job Summary:

IT positions provide direct support for the applications and hardware used throughout the park, physical activity may be required when transporting supplies, equipment, or files to other locations within the park. While the job itself require technical knowledge, you will also be interacting with other co-workers to support the department as well.

Responsibilities

All IT Tech Positions

  • Accountable for day-to-day procedures related to the identification, prioritizing, and resolution of end user requests during assigned service desk or field shift..
  • Work directly with the setup, installation, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of IT equipment such as PCs, point of sale terminals, printers, network switches, servers, telephones, and other peripherals, and ensure IT equipment is appropriately labeled and documented in the asset tracking tool.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot approved software on company computers.
  • Assist the IT Telecom Infrastructure Technician with the installation, repair, and maintenance of all copper and fiber optic wire inside buildings and buried underground, as well as assist with the installation of new wall jacks and the repair of existing wall jacks.
  • Assist with hardware maintenance on servers, network appliances, Telephone PBXs, and other IT infrastructure equipment.
  • Assist with the monthly server patching process.
  • Perform daily system or data center tasks as requested.

IT Technician II Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with software and hardware vendors as needed to work to resolve problems.
  • Triage and resolve more complex requests and incidents above the skill level of more junior IT technicians.
  • Assist other IT Technicians with decisions on proper corrective-action procedures during problem situations.
  • Provide guidance and mentor-ship to newly hired IT employees and other IT Technicians.

IT Technician I Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Use effective judgment and professional initiative to independently develop effective and constructive solutions to customer & end-user support issues, queries, challenges, and escalations.
  • Monitor IT supply inventories and work with the IT Supervisor, IT Systems Analyst, and Director of IT to order additional supplies or parts as needed.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of needed system and user documentation for systems installed, supported, trained, and administered by the Xanterra Information Technology team.
  • Serve in an on-call capacity for after-hours/non-business hours support when assigned by the Director of IT, Regional Director of IT, or Chief Information Officer.

IT Infrastructure Technician

  • Responsible for oversight of all telecommunications equipment including PBX’s, telephones, and other peripherals used by the telecommunication systems.
  • Responsible for all cabling (both voice and data) used throughout the property or region.
  • Works with the Director of IT, Regional Director of IT, and IT Technicians on managing/completing all requested moves/adds/changes for all voice lines/extensions used at the property/region.

Qualifications

IT Tech III

  • Must possess 0-2+ years of related IT experience
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology, Hospitality Administration and/or Accounting

IT Tech II 

  • Must possess 2-4+ years of related IT experience, with demonstrated project management skills. 
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology, Hospitality Administration and/or Accounting

IT Tech I 

  • Must possess 3-5+ years of related IT experience, with demonstrated project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Administration with a concentration in Information Technology, Hospitality Administration and/or Accounting

Telecom Infrastructure Tech

  • Must possess 3-5+ years of related telecom experience, with demonstrated copper and fiber optic wire installation and termination skills.

All IT Positions

  • Must possess a Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be at-least 19 years of age or older
  • Background in hospitality-based IT systems. 
  • Prior experience with Payment Card Industry compliance requirements is preferred
  • Analytical Skills – Demonstrate strong analytical skills to be able to troubleshoot problems, recognize chronic problems or patterns, and escalate as needed.
  • Technical Skills – Employee must have a working knowledge of various platforms including Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, CrowdStrike, Ivanti, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, HYCU Backup, VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV, Dell iDRAC, Shift4 UTG, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Experience configuring DHCP & DNS is required, as well as experience with Cisco & Palo Alto network appliances and NEC PBX telephone systems. Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing both low voltage copper and fiber optic wire is preferred.
  • Security Knowledge – Knowledge of IT security compliance requirements, PCI DSS, GDPR, and CPRA is required.
  • Documentation Tool-set Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products is required, as well as experience using an incident & request ticketing system such as Service-Now.

 

 

Physical Requirements include:

    • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, sitting, standing, stooping, and bending regularly is required, as well as the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. May on occasion require crawling or climbing. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Hearing abilities required by this position include the ability to clearly hear other people in person and over the phone
    • Work environment: May be exposed to unusual temperature ranges (both cool and hot). The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Must have the ability to drive long distances or be in a vehicle for long time periods due to slow traffic patterns within the park. Occasional travel outside the park may be required. May occasionally be required to work in small attics or crawl spaces and may also occasionally need to work on a ladder.
