About the Role
As a Leasing Associate at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in attracting and securing new residents while delivering an exceptional leasing experience. This position requires strong communication and customer service skills and offers the opportunity to directly impact occupancy goals and community engagement.

You will collaborate with prospective residents, property teams, and marketing staff, ensuring a smooth and professional leasing process from first contact to move-in. This is an onsite role with regular weekend and some evening hours required.

What You’ll Do

• Greets and qualifies prospective residents; schedules and conducts property tours

• Promotes apartment features, community amenities, and lifestyle benefits to prospective residents

• Responds promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms

• Processes applications, conducts background checks, and prepares lease documents

• Facilitates renewals, move-ins, and move-outs to ensure seamless transitions

• Maintains an organized leasing pipeline using CRM and follow-up tools

• Supports resident retention initiatives and lease renewal campaigns

• Participates in marketing and community outreach to generate leads

• Ensures model units and shared spaces are clean, maintained, and tour-ready

• Assists with planning and executing resident events and promotions

• Promotes safe work practices and adheres to company policies

• Performs other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or leasing

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior on-site leasing experience or training is a plus

• Eligible to work in the United States

• Fair Housing and TAA lease training provided during onboarding

• Proficient in CRM systems, leasing software, and digital tools

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting

• Willingness to work weekends and some evenings

• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws is preferred

Work Environment

• Mix of office and outdoor work, with regular walking of the property

• Weekend and evening hours required

• Fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

• Requires use of standard office equipment and property management software

• Adheres to all company safety protocols

• Onsite attendance is a key requirement

• Professional attire or branded gear must be worn

Physical Requirements

• Able to walk the property, climb stairs, and access outdoor areas in various weather

• Stand and walk for extended periods

• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds for packages, supplies, or event materials

• Visual ability to inspect units and common areas for cleanliness and safety
