ABOUT YOU
Cervélo is seeking an experienced Product Program Manager to drive the successful execution of critical new product initiatives from concept through global market launch. Reporting to the Head of Product Development, this role serves as the cross-functional integrator across Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure Cervélo’s product pipeline delivers against key business timelines.

This is not a traditional project administration role. Success in this position requires the ability to bring structure, visibility, and accountability to complex programs while operating with flexibility in a dynamic innovation environment. Product development rarely follows a linear path; the ideal candidate knows how to maintain momentum, adapt to evolving realities, and help teams navigate ambiguity without losing sight of critical launch objectives. This role requires a highly collaborative operator who can influence across functions through credibility, partnership, and sound judgment—not formal authority.

This position will require you to work onsite at Cervelo’s HQ located in Aliso Viejo, CA

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY JOB LOOK LIKE:

  • Lead end-to-end program management of New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives from concept approval through in-market launch readiness

  • Build, maintain, and continuously adapt integrated cross-functional project plans covering Product Definition, Design, Engineering, Production, Assembly, Distribution, and Commercial launch activities

  • Drive alignment around key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and decision points to protect committed business launch timelines

  • Facilitate clear decision-making by surfacing tradeoffs, risks, resource constraints, and unresolved issues at the right time and with the right stakeholders

  • Proactively identify critical path risks and work collaboratively with functional owners to develop pragmatic mitigation plans

  • Lead Stage-Gate governance and milestone readiness reviews

  • Establish transparency and visibility across programs through concise, action-oriented status communication and reporting

  • Drive accountability across cross-functional stakeholders through influence, relationship management, and disciplined follow-through

  • Help simplify execution for functional teams by creating clarity around ownership, priorities, timelines, next steps, and decision rights

  • Conduct post-launch reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future execution

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field, or equivalent through experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, or New Product Introduction leadership roles

  • Experience in consumer durable goods, sporting goods, automotive, outdoor equipment, or other engineered manufacturing industries

  • Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional programs involving engineering, manufacturing, and commercial stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycles, prototype iteration, manufacturing readiness, sourcing dependencies, and launch execution in an engineered goods business

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in environments where plans evolve, information is incomplete, and tradeoff decisions must be made quickly

  • Ability to balance process discipline with practical flexibility; knows when rigor is required and when adaptation is necessary to keep progress moving

  • Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills with a demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority

  • Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate complex project realities into clear priorities, risks, and decisions

  • Highly organized with strong planning, prioritization, and follow-through capabilities across multiple programs simultaneously

  • Strong working knowledge of project planning and reporting tools (Smartsheets, Asana, or similar) and collaborative team platforms

  • Must hold and keep an active passport as this position will involve minimal international travel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with overseas manufacturing, supplier development timelines, validation/testing workflows, and production launch readiness

  • Experience working in matrixed organizations requiring strong influence across multiple functions

  • Formal Project Management training or certification is a definite plus, but practical execution leadership and cross-functional collaboration experience are more important

  • Passion for performance, sports or cycling products is a plus but not required
