Job Description:

Overview:

The Land Planner Intern supports project teams under the guidance of a Senior Land Planner, contributing to the design and planning of residential, commercial, and site development projects. This internship offers hands-on experience with conceptual planning, graphics preparation, and zoning research in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the creation of base sheets, city submittals, and zoning ordinance research.

Learn to identify and interpret base map elements such as property boundaries, topography, aerial imagery, easements, right-of-way (ROW) dedications, floodplains, street names, city limits, and ETJ lines.

Support the development of concept sketches and graphics using AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SketchUp.

Coordinate with engineering, design, and production teams to support project goals and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.

Familiarity with land planning principles, techniques, and procedures.

Exposure to design and visualization tools including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Bluebeam, and SketchUp.

Basic understanding of geometry and spatial relationships.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and deadlines.
