Job Description:

Overview
The Practice Leader will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our projects, providing technical expertise, and driving strategic growth through efficiency improvements and innovation. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.

  • Provide overall guidance on the design and technical aspects of the team(s) projects.

  • Prepare proposals and client agreements.

  • Monitor project tasks, budgets and schedules with Senior Project Managers and Project Managers.

  • Responsible for the oversight of technical and professional development of project team(s).

  • Participate in developing company design and production standards including needs assessments and deploying efficiency and innovation initiatives.

  • Actively participate in professional associations and civic organizations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)

  • 15+ years of professional engineering experience, including 10+ years as a licensed P.E.

  • Proven ability to address and resolve complex challenges for public-sector clients in the local market.

  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) credential preferred.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate, both oral and written skills, with all level of employees in an organization.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.

  • Proven ability to lead a team of engineers and support personnel.

  • Actively involved in professional associations and civic organizations.

  • Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
