The Vacancy

Role Summary: The Regional Account Manager (RAM) leads a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) and manufacturer representatives within an assigned region. The primary focus is on T&D utility customers, with responsibilities that include driving sales strategy development and execution, overseeing CRM utilization, and evaluating team needs to support sales growth initiatives.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, the RAM directly manages 3–4 utility accounts that span multiple KAM territories, ensuring strategic alignment and consistent engagement across the region. The RAM sets priorities for managing high‑value accounts, ensures customer satisfaction at all levels—from technicians to executives—and is accountable for overall quota attainment within each territory.

The role also requires close collaboration with KAMs, manufacturer reps, and Regional Business Unit Leads to align global and regional initiatives, strengthen the sales pipeline, and support the success of all Megger Business Units.

Main Responsibilities

Regional Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of Key Account Managers and Manufacturer Representatives
  • Assess gaps in ability to represent the entire company portfolio and develop action plans to address gaps
  • Travel with KAMs and reps aiding in development and customer engagement to achieve sales objectives

Strategic Planning & Revenue Growth

  • Evaluate account plans for thoroughness of account potential and alignment of company initiatives, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling providing feedback to business unit, marketing, and product leaders to enhance Megger’s value proposition

Customer Engagement & Problem Solving

  • Guide and support the team in presenting the full company portfolio to customer groups to identify applications and opportunities for Megger solutions
  • Address escalated customer issues promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction and business relationship continuity

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with Regional Business Unit (RBU) Leads, Product Specialists, and internal stakeholders to deliver integrated customer solutions
  • Provide market feedback and customer insights to inform business unit strategies and product development
  • Monitor trends and report opportunities for partnerships, strategic alliances and strategy adjustments to increase Megger visibility and viability in the utility market

Sales Performance & Reporting

  • Set direction and expectations of C4C for the monitoring of key performance indicators including customer visits, calls, and emails, opportunities, and lead management
  • Monitor the sales pipeline for accurate forecasting and provide monthly reports for region level visibility
  • Identify risks and opportunities within the region team and implement corrective actions as needed

Experience, Skills & Knowledge required to be successful in role

Technical Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications

Soft Skills

  • BA/BS Graduate or 10 years electrical field experience
  • 3-5 years’ sales management experience, preferred
  • 3+ years working with manufacturer reps, a plus
  • Demonstrated experience of leading a team in achievement of sales objectives
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of selling solutions in the utility market
  • History of engaging customers at an executive level
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational/personal interaction skills
  • Ability to effectively execute strategies under minimal supervision
  • Attention to detail mentality and ability to effectively and succinctly summarize data into an executive report
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fortitude to progress in stressful situations
  • Well organized, ability to multiplex effectively across a variety of tasks/responsibilities
  • Familiarity/interest in social media, and technologies that shape our lives
  • Experience with a CRM platform, Excel, Word, and Outlook
