JOB SUMMARY
Our Albany office is looking for a Wealth Advisory Assistant to create and maintain excellent client relationships as well as perform clerical and administrative functions to support the department.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Handle production work specific to wealth management
- Execute trades for various platforms
- Preparation of client reports and documentation
- Process distributions
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Draft correspondence, schedule appointments, organize and maintain paper and electronic files, or provide information to callers
- Operate office equipment such as copiers, phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
- Answer telephones and give appropriate information to callers, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals, and manage Salesforce.
- Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Securities licenses, Series 7 and Series 66 required.
- Experience with Morningstar, DST Vision, and NetXpro.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn – Accuracy in performing tasks and the ability to understand what is being communicated by asking appropriate questions to obtain correct information.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Time Management - Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
- Computer Skills – Ability to operate excel spreadsheets, word processing and email programs.
- Teamwork – Ability to function within a group of co-workers and learn to work with different types of people.
- Confidentiality – Ability to keep client and employee information confidential and to not participate in office gossip.
For job postings in our Albany location, we are required by law to include a good faith salary range for every job, promotion, and transfer opportunity in accordance with the New York Human Rights Law. This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $62,500 to $90,000.
