he Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet internal and customer quality standards. This role drives problem-solving, continuous improvement, and compliance across manufacturing operations, supporting both production and supplier quality activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance (scrap, defects, customer complaints)
  • Support new product launches (APQP, PPAP submissions)
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949)
  • Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues
  • Review and approve control plans, PFMEA, and work instructions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
  • Support containment actions and customer communication for quality incidents

Process Responsibilities

Manufacturing Quality

  • Ensure process capability and stability (Cp, Cpk)
  • Validate product dimensions and specifications
  • Monitor critical parameters (temperature, pressure, cutting accuracy)
  • Reduce scrap and variation through process control

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related)
  • 2–5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in automotive industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies (8D, Six Sigma)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and quality documentation
  • Intermediate to advanced English preferred
