Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides training to new associates and lead peers on a production line by communicating tasks and giving instructions to ensure maximum quality and productivity
- Performs scheduled process monitoring following good manufacturing practices and communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
- Ensures housekeeping activities and sanitations on production equipment is complete, accurate and properly documented
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding production goals and potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and any maintenance performed.
- Report safety, quality and inventory discrepancies to Management.
- Observe production staff and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Report operational and production data on specified forms.
- Review batch ticket and add specified amounts of raw materials into mixing tanks for specified times. Provide leadership on formulation questions to staff.
- Transfer materials, supplies and products between work areas using equipment and sit down fork lifts.
- Understand the impact and importance of food safety and its role in our products.
- Organize the production area and take on any additional assigned projects from the Production Manager.
- Follow SOP’s to include all of the above and sanitation of equipment after each batch.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or GED, documentation skills, math skills with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the production team and supporting departments (quality, maintenance, planning, purchasing and customer service)
- Must have attention to detail to plan and schedule the production workload, monitor labor requirements needed and keep the production area clean and audit ready.
- Ability to continuously lift and pour 50lbs throughout the day.
- Must follow safety requirements and ensure the production team follows the PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, face shield and respirator).
- Basis computer skills to maintain efficient operation and control of equipment or systems.
- Troubleshooting or problem-solving skills to determine causes of any inventory inaccuracies or Quality hold mixes and make recommendations to potential fixes.
- The employee is required to wear a respirator after a Doctor’s approval and successfully passing the fit and pulmonary test.
Salary range: $27.48 - $34.35
The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
