Performs all tasks related to Packaging, Sanitation, Liquid and Spray Dry Operations.
Responsibilities
- Must be certified in Packaging Room, to fill in the position as needed (Absences, emergencies, etc).
- Cleans and sanitizes daily, according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Transfers the liquid product using pumps and controls.
- Fills Liquid Drums and Totes according to the Production Schedule. Ensures proper weights are achieved, proper Labeling is applied, product is within Customer Specification.
- Live Loading of all Liquid Tankers for shipment.
- Performs Metal Detection and fills out all necessary paperwork.
- Perform Quality Analysis.
- Loads Hoppers with Raw Material as directed by Foreman or Liquid Operator. Verifies Quantities loaded and Lot Numbers.
- Production and Packaging of all Paste Products. Ability to run Paste Evaporator and all related equipment.
- Cleans and Sanitizes Liquid Drum Filters as needed.
- Adds ingredients to Liquid Batches as instructed by Liquid Operator and/or Foreman (Carbon/Caramel/etc)
- Safe handling of chemicals, wears all necessary PPE.
Skills and Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- HVP Packager experience preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to read and follow instructions; multitask in a safe manner; troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of safe chemical operation and handling
- Ability to understand and operate equipment under pressure
- Understanding and general knowledge of flow measuring units
- Ability to work as part of team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary range: $18.28 - $22.85
