Job Responsibilities
Follow standard batching instructions to measure or weigh ingredients.
Lifting of heavy drums and bags while wearing proper PPE.
Transfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently
Strictly follow detailed instructions to monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the mixes.
Work in a fast-paced environment able to multi-task and perform under pressure while remaining flexible.
Sample and test for various attributes from the mixes after completion.
Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
Filling out necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compounded.
Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company’s safety policies.
Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements
HS Diploma/GED Preferred
Must have a general knowledge of workplace safety and quality processes including GMP’s & Allergens
Must follow safety requirements and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel-toed shoes, safety goggles and a mask as necessary
Attention to detail and ability to perform basic mathematics required
Problem solve and communicate when something is wrong and to recognize/report the problem
When required for the position, the employee must be able to wear a respirator with Doctor’s approval and successfully passing the respiratory and pulmonary function testing
Ability to:
Manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary
Learn and consistently follow operational and cleaning procedures
Learn and consistently complete required documentation and record-keeping requirements
Work overtime when necessary
Ability to use and read scales, accurate tare and recognize unit of measure requirements.
Basic computer skills with RF scanner experience preferred
Ability to manually lift 50 lbs. continuously when necessary
Starting Pay: $19.00/hr
The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
