Key Skill Areas and Responsibilities:
1. Dispatch and Transportation Planning (40%)
- Owns the daily dispatch schedule for construction materials and equipment.
- Allocates trucks and drivers efficiently to meet project site timelines and customer requirements.
- Coordinates with job sites to ensure on-time delivery despite changing project conditions, traffic delays, or last-minute changes.
2. Customer Service and Order Management (15%)
- Processes orders for aggregates, ready-mix concrete, equipment, or other building materials.
- Acts as the liaison between internal teams and job sites to ensure materials arrive in the correct sequence and quantity.
- Provides proactive communication to foremen, superintendents, and procurement teams regarding delivery status or issues.
3. Carrier and Broker Coordination (15%)
- Maintains strong relationships with independent truckers, brokers, and haulers in the construction logistics network.
- Sources and schedules external carriers when in-house capacity is exceeded.
- Ensures reliable and compliant transportation partners are used for each load.
4. Administrative Support and Documentation (10%)
- Manages order tickets, delivery slips, proof of delivery (PODs), and other construction documentation.
- Tracks material usage and delivery performance for job costing and billing accuracy.
- Coordinates with accounting and operations for receivables, cost coding, and compliance reporting.
5. Flexibility and Problem Solving (20%)
- Adjusts dispatches and truck assignments in response to site changes, equipment breakdowns, or weather delays.
- Solves day-to-day logistics challenges with minimal disruption to field operations.
- Works with field supervisors to realign delivery schedules and reroute trucks as needed.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 2 years of commercial transportation experience including experience dispatching variable route assignments.
- Experience in a lead capacity is desirable.

- This position will be based out of our corporate office in Sharonville with travel to Walton, Kentucky
