JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Social Sciences department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Sociology and Human Relations Skills Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom/lab experience to enhance workplace understanding and performance.Teach with excellence a full range of Sociology and Human Relations Skills (General Education Classes) to both high school and college level students.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree in the discipline or in a related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.
Preferred
Higher education/community college/high school teaching experience.
Expected Start Date: Fall Quarter
177-day, 9-month contract.
May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and may involve travel to other campuses.
A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval
Hiring process includes passing a background check.
