$18.67 to Negotiable Hourly
Plumbing work. Modification and repair work. Preventive maintenance work. Equipment operation and maintenance. Follows safety guidelines and procedures. This position is designated as a Tier 2 respondent for designated campus emergencies and events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.
Leadership.
a) supervises lesser skilled workers in the absence of immediate supervisor;
b) discusses projects with immediate supervisor to exchange ideas on methods to be used and to eliminate misunderstandings prior to beginning the work;
c) takes responsibility seriously and works to achieve goals of management.
Supplementary responsibilities.
a) assists other trades as needed;
b) special events work;
c) campus maintenance emergencies; d) new utilities and equipment installations; e) work orders; f) picking up parts and materials from vendors; g) keeping assigned shop area neat and clean.
Required Qualifications
Nature of Work: This is work performing two or more skilled trades in the maintenance of buildings and/or equipment.
