Department: Medical Examiner

Grade: 200

Salary: $25.45/hour

Job Duties:

• Responsible for providing forensic autopsy assistance to the Medical Examiners and custodial maintenance services to the equipment and facilities in the morgue and related areas.
• Responsible for recordkeeping and maintain the biological archives; responsible for maintaining supplies for the autopsy division
• May at times be asked to perform investigator duties including responding to scenes and conducting death investigations.      

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• One year of work related experience in a morgue, laboratory, emergency medicine, nursing, and post mortem tissue donation.
• Must provide TB status and current Hepatitis B vaccination records prior to employment or obtain within six months.
• Must possess/maintain valid Missouri Driver's License.
• Must submit to/pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
