General Description / Primary Purpose

The Senior Director of Principal Gifts and Campaign Manager, under the direction of the Assistant Vice President and the Vice President, identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards principal gift prospects consisting of individuals, corporations, foundations, and estates.

 

Job Function

  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Secure transformational philanthropic commitments of seven and eight-figure gifts in support of the University’s strategic priorities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of high-capacity prospects, with a focus on individuals, corporations, and foundations capable of making gifts of seven and eight-figure

  • Design and implement coordinated processes to align principal gift engagement efforts across university units

  • Develop significant and transformational funding opportunities that strategically support the mission of UNF and align to donor interests

  • Serve as Campaign Manager for the University’s upcoming multi-year comprehensive fundraising campaign by planning and executing campaign related initiatives

  • Create a structured process for the identification, recruitment, recognition, and replacement of campaign volunteers

  • Monitor campaign progress and provide regular updates to university leadership and stakeholders

  • Develop an annual operating plan and solicitation plan

  • Conduct 3 - 5 meetings per week with donors and prospective donors

  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting of donor activities in the database

  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President and the Vice President as they relate to overall fundraising goals

Marginal Functions:

May represent the university on local, system-wide or state committees.

During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.
