General Description/Primary Purpose:
The School of Nursing is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure earning, Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing. This position is primarily engaged in providing practical instruction and application of practical knowledge. Position responsibilities will include a 4/4 teaching load.
The successful candidate will:
Teach in areas of expertise (e.g., Psych Mental Health, Adult Health, Pediatrics, Community Health, Women’s Health and Obstetrics, Research, Leadership)
Participate in School committees
Have experience in an active clinical practice as an RN/APRN
Perform nursing and community service in areas of expertise
Supervisor: This position will report to the Interim Director, Dr. Debra Harrison.
Working Hours: Varies
Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.
Required Licensure:
Licensure as an advanced practice registered Nurse in Florida, or eligible for a Florida License
Anticipated Start Date: The position is expected to begin on August 3, 2026.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
Five years of clinical experience
Evidence of meaningful scholarship and contributions in service
