Freese and Nichols is seeking Water/Wastewater Conveyance Group Manager in Dallas or Frisco, Texas. As Water/Wastewater Conveyance Group Manager, you will lead a growing team responsible for project delivery, client development, staff development, and operational performance while helping shape the long-term success of the group.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day group operations, including project execution, workload planning, hiring, staff development, performance management, and team communication
  • Build and strengthen client relationships while guiding opportunity strategy, pipeline management, and strategic pursuits
  • Partner with division leadership, Practice Leaders, National Technical Leaders, Account Directors, and Client Reps to support growth initiatives and booking goals
  • Develop the group’s annual operating plan, budget, and performance goals, and monitor key indicators tied to utilization, revenue, and overall group health
  • Support Project Managers to keep projects on track for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations
  • Forecast workload and staffing needs to align team capacity and technical capability with current and future demand
  • Promote a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and staff engagement through regular coaching, feedback, and succession planning
  • Serve as a senior advisor and QC reviewer while supporting quality management practices and technical excellence across the group

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • 7+ years of experience with emphasis in technical design, project management, personnel leadership and management, and organizational leadership
  • Proven track record of client service, relationship building, sales, and technical project delivery
  • Experience leading teams, managing performance, and developing staff for increasing levels of responsibility
  • Ability to guide project and group decisions related to staffing, budget, quality, and client service

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in a technical field
  • Professional Engineering license
  • Experience in the consulting industry
  • Experience supporting strategic pursuits, SOQs, shortlist presentations, and client development initiatives
  • Experience serving as a senior advisor, QC reviewer, or technical leader on complex conveyance projects
