SUMMARY
The Piping Shop Supervisor is responsible for all activities pertaining to the assembly, safety, quality, monitoring, packaging, etc. for all piping fabrication that comes into the shop. The Piping Shop Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates prefabricated/prepackaged systems through final delivery to the yard laydown area for delivery and will assist shipping and receiving when necessary. The objective of this position is to 1) maximize our potential for prefabrication/prepackaging; 2) help company realize a profit that meets or exceeds expectations by reducing production costs and at the same time increase overall productivity

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must have min 5 years of experience in Pipe Fit-up and welding; Both MIG and Stick related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE SKILLS
Ability to use scheduling software to maintain schedule. Ability to use Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Ability to use Maxwell job cost software
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
